Ode to Calculus

Actually this is more of a rant because I absolutely hate that class!!! I hated it 4 years ago when I took it the first time and I hate it again. Its so freaking dumb. The worst is online calculus because if you forget a close parenthesis-WRONG, oh you wrote ex sqaured divided by 3 instead of the cubed root of ex squared (due to parenthesis nonetheless) -WRONG AGAIN. Oh you didn't write the lim as ex approaches blah blah every step of the way? haha WRONG AGAIN. They don't even give you bonus points for being partially right- UGHHH. This stupid class shall be the BANE of my existence, I am so glad this is the last math class I will EVER have to take. Don't get me wrong though I used to LOVE math, until I got to calculus, my brain just doesn't have much more capacity than that. cant. handle. this. Honestly if I didn't have smart friends *ahem Matthew* my grade would suck!!! Oh did I mention that there is this really annoying girl in my lab who thinks she is like the little assistant that can answer questions students ask- oh wait you can't, every time she opens her little yap I want to throw my hands in the air in be like YOURE ANNOYING NO ONE LIKES YOU ZIP IT. But I don't, instead I try and get splinters out of my finger whenever she speaks. uggghhhh only 2 more weeks, which means 7 more lectures and 4 more labs HALLELUJAH.

The perfect life

Yesterday I saw this supa cute word-wall-art thingy I really liked:

Wouldn't life be perfect if sweatpants were sexy, Mondays were fun, junk food didn't make you fat, Girls didn't cause so much drama, guys weren't so confusing, and goodbyes only mean until tomorrow.

So true

It's that time again....

Well out here in Provo we had our first snowfall a few nights ago. It wasn't much, most everything had defrosted after we got home from church. Now the mountains and trees were all pretty with little white frost across them, but aside from the pretty scenery there are some negative effects from winter season. Coming from California (notice I didn't shorten that to 'cali', nor will I ever) our winters consist of throwing on a hoodie and whipping out your cute vans or uggs, because rarely does it get below 60- maybe 57 if you're lucky. But here in P-town things are a tad different.

You may wear a hoodie-under another jacket

You rarely wear vans, you rock the rain boots or other HOTT boots.

You most definitely do not wear uggs when it is icy because you will fall (the only girls I have ever seen fall on campus were wearing uggs)

You wear at least one pair of gloves.

Tights or thermal underwear go under the pants.

The second you step out of the shower you immediately put lotion everywhere because you will regret it an hour later when you are soo itchy from all that dry skin.

You constantly have dry boogies that hurt like a mother (oh wait just me? eh well now you know one of my winter flaws)

Your chances of slipping and eating it on campus in front of hundreds of people drastically increases-however many boys will rush to your side and offer you a hand

Now for some nice things:

Cutesy scarves and hats.

Fuzzy socks, of which I own more than my fair share, and will continue to buy more.

Hot chocolate

The holidays

Ski season, I am more enthusiastic about this than I used to be because I haven't gone for like a year and a half, since before I get sicky poo. So I need to get back on the slopes

Christmas parties

Just to name a few things

Now that those of you not from Provo get a little taste of what winter is like here I hope you are superbly grateful you can just get away with a hoodie.

I am slowly emerging from this mid semester slump. Last week I had tons of ish to do and this week had no energy to put more effort than needed into anything! So here is a low down on what has gone down the past couple of weeks:

I finally spent all my birthday money, it wasn't too hard at first, but I couldn't figure out what to spend the last couple of dollars on:

Halloween came and went. I went as snooki, I looked like I was rolled in dirt, but I think I did snooki justice. I helped the hombres make their spartan costumes, luckily they found someone else to sew them last minute, as their sewing machine lacked a pedal:
what girl wouldn't want to help make these costumes
in case you were unaware that is me as snooki in the middle
up close look of that makeup and poof

I bought my caramel for caramel apples! My roommates were dumb dumbs and didn't believe ange that it was all caramel (it was 30 pounds) ;)

I have been getting to spend some good 'ol quality time with the homies:

Upcoming news:
I am going to St. George next weekend, and then back to the greatest state ever for Thanksgiving so that I can grub.
The semester is almost over, thank goodness.
Oh I will admit probably my most embarrassing moment: now that it has been friggin cold in Utah, I hate it. Anyways I was walking to school this morning and there was a patch of ice on top of the stairs, and whaddayaknow I fell. Luckily no one saw me from the front so I stood up shook it off and did NOT turn around. First fall on campus ice at BYU. ew
